CELEBRATING LIFE ONE FRAME AT A TIME

SARAH AVERILL FINDS BEAUTY IN HONEST MOMENTS.

Sarah thrives on the unscripted, in-between moments that illuminate the love and human connection in a room. With her calm nature and contagious optimism, she lives by the philosophy: “Be yourself so they can be themselves.”

The 'thank you' card from her grandparents’ wedding sparked Sarah’s curiosity about photography and the art of capturing emotions. Growing up, Sarah always had a camera (or two) in her hand.

After graduating from the Hallmark Institute of Photography, Sarah became the go-to photographer in her hometown in central Pennsylvania. Eventually, the call of the mountains was too loud to ignore, and she headed West to Wyoming to start a new chapter.

Drawn to the “illustrious ski bum life,” Sarah paid her dues working as a ski resort photographer in Jackson Hole. With the support and generosity of her tight-knit community, Sarah went from being the new kid to (once again) becoming the go-to photographer in town.

From watching the sunlight shift across the Grand Tetons to floating down the river, there’s no shortage of creative inspiration surrounding Sarah.

“I CAN ALWAYS SENSE HOW FULL MY MIND, BODY, AND HEART FEEL AFTER PHOTOGRAPHING PEOPLE INTERACTING WITH ONE ANOTHER, SHARING EMOTIONS, AND SAVING THOSE MOMENTS.”

When she isn’t working, Sarah is heading down the river on her raft, hitting the slopes with friends, or riding around her happy little one-horse town of Wilson, WY, in her ’75 yellow Chevy pickup with her adorable Bernese Mountain Dog, Basher.
